Made in a French Style using the finest grapes available, this varietal was crafted to retain the true taste of Chardonnay, using 100% French oak cooperage and a method called “surlies avec batonnage”. This Chardonnay is rich with fruit, a deep golden colour with a full mouth feel. This wine has a satiny texture, a long elegant finish.

Viognier (Estate)  About Viognier

Our Estate Viognier a romantic Rhone varietal is very aromatic with hints of violets, honeysuckle and tropical fruit. On the palate it is velvety smooth and dry, with a tropical fruit overtone. It will enhance a fine meal or a great afternoon. This wine is becoming very popular in this region.

Primarily grown in France's Rhone Valley, this grape grows very well in our area.  It produces an elegant aromatic wine with excellent acidity.  The aroma of Roussanne can suggest wild flowers or herbal tea, spiciness and full mouth feel makes it perfect for grilled fowl and premium cheeses.

Zinfandel Reserva

Very distinctive to Zinfandel, this wine is abundant with all the qualities of the varietal, vibrant red color with fresh blackberry fruit flavors and aromas, cinnamon and cedar, with a taste that lingers on the palate.  A medium-bodied wine has a supple mouthful with lingering smooth finish.

Port originated from the Douro Valley, Portugal.  Although ours is from the Sierra Foothills of California, it reminds one of the richness and full flavors of Porto.  Try it with Stilton cheese or raspberries and chocolate.

Petite Sirah

Known primarily for its deep color, fairly intense tannins, and rich mouth feel.  This wine is anything but "petite".  It is full of plum, blackberry and currant flavors.  This wine goes well with stronger meats - game, beef, lamb and spicy sauces.  Petite Sirah ages slowly and can survive fairly long cellarings of ten years or more.

Mourvedre (Estate)

Our Estate Mourvedre is an attempt to reproduce as closely as possible, the most serious wine of Provence.  It is rich with fruity, blueberry, black cherry flavors.  It has a soft smoky nose and leaves on the palate a lingering taste of southern France.

Cabernet Sauvignon

Crafted from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes.  It has great elegance and style, soft with excellent balance, aged in oak for 22 months, it developed a bright red color with overtones of currant, vanilla and blackberry flavors. Try the Sunday roast, your choice beef or lamb.

Syrah (Estate)

Rich and opulent, our Estate Syrah is harvested at the height of ripeness, so it can develop into this rich, soft tasting, rare wine, reminiscent of Northern Rhone regions. Enjoy it with heavier and gamier dishes.

Alicante Bouschet

No matter what color their skins, the great majority of wine grapes have clear juice.  Very few have red colored juice; the French call them teinturiers, literally "dyers".  Very few California wineries offer Alicante Bouschet as a varietal.  We do.  Enjoy!

The Fleur de Lys version of this Piedmontese varietal is big, bold and deep ruby red.  After barrel aging for 22 months, this Barbera is robust and pairs superbly with Italian cuisine, smoked meats and smoked cheeses.

In the tradition of southern Rhone wines, our Estate Fleurette is a blend of Syrah and Mourvedre.  Syrah offers deep color, tannins and soft ripe fruit.  Mourvedre brings acidity and ripe spicy berry fruit.  Together for 23 months in barrels, this wine is perfect for everyday enjoyment.

The grapes for our estate late harvest Viognier were left on the vine for one month longer to achieve 31* brix.  This elixir was fortified with V.S. quality brandy and raised in a French oak barrel for one year.  This late harvest Viognier would be superb with creme brulee, cream puffs, or napoleons.

Hi Duncan and Jen,

This is the last of the wonderful Fleur de Lys wines you sent us several years ago. The others were so good that we decided to let the Cabernet age for a few years. Our patience was rewarded, and we have enjoyed it immensely. Thank you again for thinking of us.

Hi Mireille,
They're here! They're here!
I thought it would be good for you to read our enthusiasm upon arrival of our Barbera shipment since you can't see it. You do have the best Barbera on the planet (and I'm sure we speak for the entire planet.)
Thank you again,
Ann M

2007 Estate Fleurette, El Dorado

Again, you have out done yourself, for a country boy from Canada, the Fleurette was fantastic with the Chicken Marsala and Spatzle in Brown Butter and carrots, we had for dinner.

I tip my hat to your wine making skills. I have not had "the two sisters of the Rone" done in such style. The wine was comparable with the limited but best wines from Chateauneuf-du-Pape (that I have been able to afford).

I have never met two sisters who have grown up in America who had gotten along so well in such a small space, I know they are close but I did not know how close they could get until I had the 07 Fleurette, it was a beautiful relationship of Syrah and Mourvèdre.

Your wine is without a doubt, comparable to the Syrah and Mourvèdre I have had from France and truly continues to represent the best American wines of this classic Rhone varietal.

Do you have any more?
